ABOUT ME
I was elected as the Labour MP for Leeds South West and Morley in the 2024 general election. I was born and raised in Morley and I’m raising my family in Wortley, a new addition to the constituency after the boundaries were redrawn. Prior to entering Parliament, I taught maths at secondary schools in south Leeds. During my teaching career, I secured a Masters in Education and have a keen interest in teaching children from disadvantaged backgrounds and finding solutions to the teacher recruitment crisis. I also served as a Leeds City Councillor for Farnley & Wortley ward between 2022–24.
