Fireworks: one week left to have your say

I was delighted that the Government launched a landmark consultation on the use of fireworks, something that I’ve lobbied for ever since I was elected.

Fireworks, in moderation, can be magnificent and joyful, but irresponsible use can have a devastating impact on veterans, pet owners and many others in our communities.

I strongly welcome the Government’s approach but, admittedly, the documentation is far from straight-forward. That’s why I’ve rolled out my own simpler fireworks survey for my constituents to put their views forward.
