It's time to solve the SEND crisis.
The system for teaching children with special education needs is completely broken. It has not been working for years. School staff and support workers are doing their absolute best to make it work but it simply isn't serving the needs of most SEND students.
I'm continuing my work with the Education Select Committee over summer to complete our SEND enquiry. This is so that we can make our own recommendations to government before they write and publish their SEND plan in the Schools White Paper this autumn.
